of the supposed Church and School land, running through Brisbane into the rocky ranges, represent the tract (including the Church Land) which Sir Thomas Brisbane told my Son William he would not object to grant to me. This plan would have included 1900 Acres of the worst range land to the South of Brisbane; and when my son explained this to him Sir Thomas expressed his regret, and said he certainly did not wish me to take bad and useless land. The next morning my Son waited on the Governor with the Chart, marked with the red dots, that commence about the centre of the North line of Brisbane and extend to the South line of the allotment marked 2080 Acres, and
