My Dear Sir William
I have the pleasure of your note of 25th Inst & in reply I beg to state that I require the corking machine in consequence of finding the first wine bottled last year not clear & indeed so badly [indecipherable] as to empel me to put it back in the cask & fine it again - it is this wine I want to bottle - I shall not begin to bottle generally for a month to come - I hope you will find your blacksmith make a good job of the one you are getting made - the [indecipherable] of tools is against a [indecipherable]
I shall be glad to reply to the various queries & [indecipherable]
