To the
Honorable J. Macarthur M.L.A.
Camden Park.
Dear Sir
I had the pleasure to receive this morning your favor of 23rd Inst. I last had this pleasure to address you on Friday last about ½ past 2 P.M. informing you of the arrival of Mrs Macarthurs letter also the Hhd of Muscat, sent from the Railway & reached me about the same time as the letter. My Note was addressed to the "Club".
I have taken a sample of the Muscat & find a very little difference in flavor but in color its about the shade of Brown Sherry. The Muscat being generally of a pale color I have blended it with the previous Hhd I had on the stillage which I still find far from being bright.
You will be I think surprised to know that I have sold (to Messrs Montifiore & Co) 1. Quarter Cask of Muscat @ 16/- pr Gallon.
