But why did you think it necessary to pay the Carriage?  That accounts for the strangeness of the Great Western [railway] refusing to convey it -- because they can only Book as far as Exeter --
From the various charges along the Line we find it impracticable to prepay any parcels, not liking to trust the Carriers to negotiate --
So we must thank you for this also --  And you may be assured we shall always think of you & yours when we enjoy the Wine --  You will like to know that it is quite clear & bright.
