Dear Sir William
I found a few days ago the following memoranda of the proceedings of our old N.S.W. Vineyard Association, and I determined to preserve them thinking that they would be of interest to you as a record of your bygone labours, and assuming that you had been indifferent as to preserving such a record yourself. You certainly were not indifferent as to the [indecipherable] of the association as these records show, but the changes and [indecipherable] of colonial life during the last twelve years have destroyed the principle of our original association and, it will be hopeless now to attempt to revive it. It may be revived when times are more favourable, and whenever you think the time ripe for making the experiment, I will gladly co-operate with
Sir William Macarthur
