Gentlemen.
Your esteemed favour of the 31st March duly came to hand and avail myself of the earliest opportunity to reply to its contents
Respecting Messrs Thacker & Cos order, the Wine (which consisted of one Hogshead of White & red) was shipped to New Zealand. The terms with them will be Quarterly. by that time they expect a reply and if the one is approved of a further Order will be given. Referring to the Bottled Wine I would much like to try about 20 or 30 Dozen, for it is quite certain that the Wines only in bottle a short time do not maintain there character equal to that in Wood. A large quantity of Wine should be kept in Bottle and brought into market not under six months. The above wine would enable
