the condition of the wine requires you to use – the main thing to observe in all finings – is never to let the heat of the Isinglass – (in solution) – rise above 70º Farenheit – if you make up a quantity of finings with the acid first & then with acid wine it will keep well and be ready for use when you want it – we make ours up for ab 2 or 3 months before using it – 

Mr Kearns desires me to thank you for your kind attention to us – and when we arrive in Adelaide we shall do ourselves the pleasure of testing your wine, with our best growths – & will let you know the result –
