[October 22, 1918]

Wrote to M. McCaskill.
Letter from F. Nichol.

On parade again this morning.  After dinner we were classified again & I told the Dr about my legs but he thinks I am swinging the lead & he has arranged for me to walk a mile tomorrow & show him my legs after.

I do not like staying in camp so I went to Warminster & bought ½ lb of boiled ham (1/6) & had some bread & butter & tea at the YMCA.  It is a lovely moonlight night only a bit cold.
