Mersailles [Marseilles]

Still in the train travelling to Versailles [Marseilles]. We have very good Company in our carriage, an Old lady & gentleman from Yorkshire out here for their health. Two fairly decent French People, also two American soldiers who shared their lunch with me all the way down. We arrived at Versailles [Marseilles] about 6 PM & caught a train for Cannes right away. The country about 100 miles north of Mersailles [Marseilles] & right to Cannes is lovely. I travelled from Versailles [Marseilles] to Cannes with French soldiers & they are real hard cases, they are in good spirits & appeal to me as good soldiers. Its a lovely night & a lot warmer down here than up North.
