[April 6, 1918]

Letter from G. Turnbull

It is still pretty quiet this morning & after breakfast we are supposed to be doing semaphore & some signalling but we did not. We had nothing special today just kicking about. Some of our boys are out from the line & they up to their neck in mud & they look done, my word they look as if they have had as much as they can do. We shifted back to the big shed today we will risk any shelling.

Nothing special this evening, only some more of our fellows going up the line & some coming down. I would like to go up & relieve some of our Sigs [signallers] but there is some down yet.
