[August 14, 1918]

Wrote 37 to AH.

We had the regular temperature taking, but mine is keeping in 98 all the time.
After dinner a lot of the hospital patient drove with Lady Strictlin [Strickland?] to her place about 4 miles from here & enjoyed themselves in fishing & tennis. We had a lovely day. The big how [house?] which we had tea at & grounds are just lovely, I am turning more socialistic in my views every day since I see one man having so much land for pleasure & another man starving. We had a nice little walk in the evening from 7.30 till 8 PM. & in the Tennis green from 8 till 9 PM.
22 Canadians arrived in this hospital today.
