[July 9, 1918]

Wrote 21st to A.H. M.McCaskill & Home 13th to Pinnock.
Letter from A.H & Frank.

We are still in the Old Tunnel & it is very safe & comfortable. In the morning I went down to the water side for a lovely swim & I went through the village & got a pair of white sheets & a quilt out of a house for to make myself a descent bed, everything is fairly quiet & we expect to move back soon for a rest.
I slept lovely in my white sheets tonight
