[March 30, 1918]

Bienvillers-au-bois
No Bread

It is just a little cold this morning & fairly quiet considering this is a part of the front that has seen heavy fighting the last few days. I had a walk back to the next village & saw Tommies digging a line in case we have to retire. You should just hear the stories that are going; such as the Tommies have taken Ostend, Lille & etc.

There is still plenty activity & plenty troops knocking about ready for Fritz having another attack. Fritz puts a few shells close by at times, one gun seems to be firing every 10 minutes. Its be raining today, & we turned into our little dugout at 3 PM to get in out of the rain. We feel confident amidst all the German attacks.
