[May 27, 1918]

Wrote to Aunt Liz 3rd to A. Harvey

When I awoke about 7.30 AM I could hear Fritzs our guns firing pretty heavy, I felt very tired & sore. On buzzer parade from 9.30 till 11 & then I went into the garden behind our billet & did a little writing. No parade after dinner so I laid down in the garden again, its a beautiful day, real summer.

At 9 PM we fell in for a practice stunt, the whole Bde took part which lasted till the following morning. We saw one of Fritz planes shown up by 20 of our search lights, it was a lovely sight. In the practice stunt we took a wood & a good bit of ground. It was a beautiful night full moon on a little bit cold.
