[April 2, 1918]

Letters from Aimino[?] & Mount[?]
No bread.

Still having fairly nice weather & we had a little walk. The road is still full of traffic mostly munition carts & a lot of Artillery horses. They have a line dug right back here in case Fritz had another go & gets through. We packed up & left here at 2.30 & marched about 5 miles to Coigneaux [Coigneux]. another dirty village, after tea we had a walk to the next village about 1½ miles from here & it is a very clean village & only about 11 miles from Doullens.

Our billets are very dirty but we get quite used to it now. I notice our fellows have blown part of the railway line up, they must have expected Fritz breaking through. Wind up.
