[September 12, 1918]

Wrote to J.F. Sid Smith Home & card to Aunt Liz

It is just a lovely morning & all the Canadian are leaving this hospital this morning so we went to the Station to bid them good bye. About 12.45 four of us had a drive to Broadways, about 8 miles & visited Mary Anderson place, the garden is lovely, she used to be a great actor years ago.
We had tea in the Arms Hotel, & went through some of the rooms. Broadways is really very pretty & very Old & it is only 14 miles from Stratford.
We enjoyed the drive a treat & we have spent a very pleasant day.
Got word that I go on leave on Monday.
