Left dornock about 9.30 AM It is a fairly nice morning, & caught the express at the Mound about 11.30. Got onto the train & changed at Inverness & Perth. 
Left Perth about 9.5 PM & travelled down to London with the express.
No more changing after Perth.

[Above passage written over the following indistinct earlier entry describing Dornoch, as follows]
It is a fairly nice morning & I left Bilbster Station at 8.20 AM for London but on my way down I detrained at the Mound St  Inverness & took a [Indecipherable] 

Summer holidays, quite a few bathing sheds, & a very nice sea for swimmers.
It is very quiet just now & there does not seem many visitors there now. 2 boys of Canadian foresters working a saw mill plant. Stayed in a nice quiet & comfortable boarding house.
