[May 11, 1918]

Wrote to J.F. & Home & Edmond Aimino & T. Kilpatrick

It is a beautiful morning, infact it has been a lovely day. After breakfast we had a lot of wires to lay ready for our Bn H.Q shifting, one Coy did shift before dinner.

We did very little after dinner except lie about & after tea I was kept going writing letters. A few tanks passed here on the way to the front line, our guns have been firing all day, Fritz sent a few over but nothing to worry about.
My eyes are O,K. but my throat is still very sore. I was for going to see the Dr but I do not want to be sent back, I would sooner go in the line.

A nice quiet night, rumours about Fritz coming over tomorrow.
