[August 25, 1918]

Letter from A.H.
Wrote 42nd A.H.

We were on drill this morning & our regular route march from 11. till 12. At 1 PM 5 of us drove into Cheltenham & we went to the pictures. We could not get any cigarettes or matches today, & we could only get so much food & tea without sugar, thing are very bad.
We had a lovely drive home & we quite enjoyed the day.
Had a pillow fight in our ward tonight which cause a lot of fun.
