Cannes
Got to Cannes about 2 AM & had to knock up the people in the Station Hotel were I got a nice bed & room for the night, or morning. Awoke about 8 AM & after breakfast I went in search of the People whose address I have, I found them about 10 AM & when I found the lady lived in a big house with 4 Scotch girl servants 1 French girl servant & two Swiss boys I felt a little queer, but I soon found courage & made myself at home. It is a lovely day & I talking to the girls nearly all day.
The lady is very kind. One of the servants is sick so I had to take a room in the hotel.
Its a lovely room with a lovely bed. I went to a French concert tonight but as I could not understand anything & the was not too good I did not stay long. I was very tired & slept like a top better than sleeping on the ground.
