[April 11, 1918]

1/5 loaf

Everything was very quiet early morning until about 7.30 AM & he put a barrage on our front line until 9.30 AM & raided our outpost carrying away an outpost of 5 men. We had a few breaks to mend & it was very unpleasant wading through mud & water. Bullecourt day & we got word that Fritz might come over but he did not.

The evening is very quiet, just like the quiet before the storm.
