Wrote to J.F Wilbur[?] & L. Bruce

Still in bed & I am longing to get up because it is a lovely day outside.
After dinner I got my shoe's issued & I went out & came back for tea & after tea we walked to Cleve [Cleeve] Hill about 3 miles from here & you can see about 20 miles, it is the best view I have ever seen & the golf links are very good. The country around here is just lovely about the best I have ever seen, & there is some lovely walks. Got home about 8 PM instead of 7 PM with my shirt wet with sweat & the Sister [swared?] me up a treat, but I dont think she will be any offence for it.
