Letter from Bob & G. Turnbull

Our sports commence at 10 AM so I got dressed up in fancy costume & went as John Bull. The swimming & other sports were very well contested & the results proved the boys to be in very good condition. The sports where just about the very best we have ever had & there must have been about 7 or 8 Gen there including Gen Birdwood. Each Bn band contested in the band contest & our got 2nd prize. There was also an American Band present who gave us a few selections. We had a few showers of rain this afternoon which spoiled our day a little & about 6 PM is started to rain very heavy. The U.SA boys gave us a concert this evening which was very good. This is really the best days fun we have had in France & it will be remembered. Still raining at 10 PM
