[August 12, 1918]

Two letters from A.H. One from Aunt Meg.

I got up forĀ  a wash at 6.30 & went back to bed & had breakfast in bed at 7 AM. I stayed in bed till 10 AM Went for a walk after dinner till tea time & from tea till 7 PM. It has been a beautiful day nice & warm. The little Country walks around here are lovely. Saw some German Prisoners they look well, well fed, & you would think they owned the land, fancy they take them back to their billets in cars waisting the good Petrol.
