On parade at 9.15 PM [AM] & we got dismissed to do a little signal practice. After dinner we had an hours instruction on the Lewis Gun & we had to go on fatigue for an hour. I was done to the River Somme twice & had lovely swims. It has been a beautiful day. Fritz is putting shells around about & I think he is ranging his guns for an attack here shortly.
It was a very quiet night some one told me that Fritz had been over dropping bombs but I never heard him.
