[April 12, 1918]

1/5 loaf

Just about 1 AM this morning our planes were over Fritzs lines dropping bombs & Fritz was over ours doing the same, they were both dropping parachut lights & the Antiaircraft MG's were firing tracery bullets which lit up the sky. 5.45 PM very quiet. It has been a lovely day & nothing particular happened except that we received word to keep a close look out in the morning as the Huns are likely to resume their offensive, the heads think so but there is no indication here as the wire is uncut in front of our trench.
