It is a quiet morning only a little dull. He put some shells into our line & wounded a few, he also broke our telephone wires, which gave us a very dangerous job mending same through the water & mud. Fritz is about 1000 yards from here but has outposts a lot near, a machine gun fires just over our parapet all night that is doing no harm so far.
