[April 9, 1918]

It is a bit cold today, no doubt on account of everything being wet. Fritz put a lot of shells into the village today, & our guns seem to be giving them a few. I was on the line after faults this afternoon & we were up to our knees in mud & water, every thing is wet & muddy.

One of our Sigs got killed today about 5.15 PM & we feel put out over it.
