Hébuterne Nothing special doing today except one of our Sigs is down from the line & as one of us ten has to go up I volunteered to go, we left with ration transport & got to Bn H.Q in the village of Hébuterne it has been knocked about something awfull with shell fire, after I reported to the Sig Sgt & had tea I went out to P. Coy through the town about 500 yards it is a very quiet night only a few stray shells & bullets flying about. The little bit trench we have is knee deep in mud & a very lonely dreary place.
