Chas. [Turner?] has desired me to give you the proportions of Lime. Sulphur &c that I use in dressing my grape vines; I feel very great pleasure in doing so.  viz.
6 lbs Sulphur       }
6 lbs slaked Lime}  well mixed dry
add 3 gallons of cold water and stir
boil for 20 minutes - stir occasionally most of the sulphur will disolve
