in the others, which were more like a sort of light Picardan; The taste disappoints one after the smell, but the wine is very sound. The flavour wd do honour to [Carb?]. I thought you wd be glad to hear that this your offspring as it were has not been thrown away & that their quality stood a least the test of time. I have no doubt the last wines I have alluded to as the plantations of vines get older will greatly improve with age, and with care in the making, but the mail is pressing and I therefore take my leave assuring you of the great pleasure we have had in being remembered by you I am my Dear Sir very faithfully yours P.
