Letter from T.K.

On guard this morning, quite cold standing outside at 1.30 AM.  It is not like a Xmas morning everything is so quiet & it is very very cold, but no snow yet.  Came off guard this morning about 10 AM.  We had a very nice Xmas dinner consisting of fowl Potatoes, & cabbage, & Xmas pudding, & plenty of Beer.  After dinner I left for Beckington, got there about 4 PM.  It is nice & cold & Annie & me never went out, she is not sick today, quite a change.  We had a little singing this evening, just to keep up Xmas.  It has been a very nice day, & a lovely quiet time for Xmas day.
