Letter from J.F.

Castletown Bilbster
After breakfast this morning I cycled from Castletown back to Bilbster, it was very cold & I got caught in a storm of rain & hail, the roads are getting very wet.
For all it is wet they are still cutting & gathering the harvest here. Got home about dinner time & walked to Bruce's & I also went along in the evening & bid them good bye. They have been too kind to me.
Talking to Mr McKie & Allans sister till about 11.30 PM.
