[August 22, 1918]

Wrote 38 to A.H. & J.F.
Letter from A.H.

We had nothing special to do except wait in the ward till the Dr came.
At 1 PM [5?] of us drove into Cheltenham & had a lovely day, the drive was very good both going & coming back. We went to the pictures & made purchases & had our photos taken. It is a very clean & nice little town, which is a sort of resort for the big heads. The town is very clean & looks very wealthy. We got home again at 7.30 PM & were welcomed by the big smile of the sister.
