Rouen & La Harve.

Up out of bed at 1.30 this morning for Blighty. We had breakfast consisting of hard biscuits & a drink of tea. Got a ride in Motor bus's to the Station & left for La Harve early in the morning. We arrived at La Harve about 8 AM & stayed in train till about 11 AM & then we walked to the boat (Grantully [Grandtully] Castle) it is a hospital ship with no red cross on it simply because Fritz looks for the red cross with his submarines & of course puts them down. We left La Harve at 10 PM with other ships & a escort. It is hard to think hospital ships must have an escort, but it is better than having them sunk. Fritz pays more respect to a 6 inch gun than to the red cross.
