Letter from A.H.

No Parade this morning on account of the sports this afternoon. We started to fix a boat for the sports & just got it fixed by the time the sports started. At 2 P.M. the sports commenced & our boat only went a few yards & turned over. The sports where very good, they consisted of 100 yds race 50 yds 100 yds breast, greasy pole, pillow fight on pole & officers 75 yds race. It has been very warm today. It started to rain very heavy throughout the night & My Old shelter kept the water out very well. We heard the guns going very heavy this evening just likeĀ a stunt on.
