Letter from A.H & I.F.

We had the ordinary bayonet & gas exercises in the morning.
And after dinner we had flag drill, or station work, it was raining this morning but not much. After tea we went 6 Kilos down the river a dug some young Potatoes & strawberries & other things out of the deserted French gardens, its a shame but Fritz may get them.
