Wrote Home & sent Field Cards to J.F. & Aunt Liz.
No bread

Easter Sunday, After breakfast I went to a Church of England Service, after service we had a walk to the next village & tried to buy bread but did not succeed, because the people are on rations. The villages around here are very dirty & the people don't look much better. I visited one of our Military cemetaries & saw them burrying about 3 & one body ready to burry, its a pitiful sight, there the Soldier digs his own mates grave & burrys him & the body is only wrapped in a blanket. Every thing is about the same here. Plenty of our Planes to be seen here, some time we see over 20 all together.
