4.  It must have nigh broken Dorise's heart? to be prevented from seeing Billy.  Sorry to hear that the second lot of proofs were no good.  I am sending you a couple of photos taken on board.  Was sorry to hear of Len Taylor's death.  Fred told me of it the first night I saw him.  Jack told me that his time was so taken up with a certain party that he clean forgot to go across to see you again.  
I am pleased to hear you are taking an interest in the Ideal Homes Exhibition & perhaps I will get my share of your visit, later on, so please don't forget anything you may have learnt.  I may be able to supply the electrical appliances by then.
I mentioned socks last letter and am glad you are sticking to it.  You can make the mitts as we are very likely to require them.  Arthur's address is the same as mine, his number is 3244.  He says you can write to him twice a week, Not if I know it.  Tell Mum I will write her a seperate letter now and then, because if I make yours a family letter with just a couple of pages for yourself she would still want to see the remainder.  You say Mum read the last one, I hope I behaved myself.  Did I?
