in this place. They seem to have made the pace warm ever since they first came here and so each reinforcements have benefited by it. Here we are called the Boozy Fourth, despised and despaired of. But over the other side they are the Fighting Fourth, praised and respected. I only hope Nell that I will succeed better in the upkeep of their name over the other side than I have done here, as I have always just managed to dodge the guard-tent. I have been kicked out of the tent altogether now and am finishing this in the moonlight, as they are growling that the light prevents them getting to sleep. Up to the present Nell I am still a common corporal but still have hopes although the exam seems to be postponed. Will stop now as I cannot see too well. Give my love to all Nell and remember I still like to receive the usual regularly. Best of love old girl till next time and for all time
