to hang around my neck just large enough to hold a block of camphor. He accepted. I am singing at the biggest concert we have held on Sat night. I will not be able to send a programme until next time as all letters have to be in by Sat morning & I am sending mine in tomorrow to avoid the crush. I have just made another bargain with one of the other messes. One of the other chaps managed to raise three or four onions, things we have not seen since we sailed & I exchanged one block of camphor for two onions. Some breakfast in the morning. Well Nell I will have to give it up now although I could go on for ever, but the censor is rather shy of long letters
It will be about Xmas when you get this so wish them all a Very Merry Xmas from us all, and I wish you the same & more.
Father will have something for you from me. I hope to be with you for the next. Lots of love to you & all at home
