You always ask them the price of a thing & then offer them half or a third, if they do not come to terms immediately you walk off, & he will chance you all day & finally practically chuck it at you, although you bet he never looses by it. I cabled Dad for some money the other night & expect to get it about next Friday or Sat. Money melts here The system is said to be better than ours & I must say it is very easy to pick up. I have met several old school chums since I arrived & I also met Dick Gazzard the night we arrived & he does look well. I expect Jack to arrive any day now & will be glad to see him, as he can give me a week's later
