I managed to get a possible each time. He has now offered to take me on at the big ranges for 10/- & I am taking him up and doubling to stakes.
I had to go to the dentist the other day about one of my teeth, when I had them examined he told me I required six fillings, so of course to him to get on with them. This morning he said one of them would be far better if it was crowned, so am having it done. It will cost me three pounds all together, eight shillings for fillings and one pound for crown. Just as well I am drawing four bob a day as extra duty pay, don't you think. I saw Jack, Fred & Mick Humphreys yesterday, they arrived Wed. night, and I was very disappointed that they did not bring a blessed word, either verbal or written from any of you over there.
