3. since we were out resting last time, & we happen to be billeted at the same place this time, She's a really bonny girl, & we have many a nice long talk, & a walk together. Her hair is fair, & eyes blue, & she says she is coming back to Ausy with me. I have taken a great fancy to her, & the only drawback is that she is only about three years old. Les Rogers is not in the Batt. Bombers, but with the coy. There are none of the old Port Lincoln mess with me now, although, one or two of the 11th are still with us. I have sent you a card with all the names of the chaps with us now. I appear to be a little more fortunate with my parcels, than Arthur J. You say in your letter that by the time your letter reaches me I will have had my first taste of fighting, & I have, but its been far easier than I expected. I suppose the tough part is coming. We have been recalled just a few minutes ago, & it will probably mean a bit of a dust up. Poor Doris, it would be an awful thing if she were to have her heart broken.
