France
On the Move.
15/7/16
Dear Nell,
These are moving times, & every day is moving day with us, still we are all happy.  There is no doubt about it we are seeing France, & seeing it in the proper way, as we hoof it everywhere full pack up.  Sometimes we have plenty to eat, & sometimes we are short, & then we growl, gee! you ought to hear us growl, we have the art, right down to a fine point.  They say the bigger the growler, the better the soldier, & if that is right, we should be fair dinkum soldiers.  My letters will probably be very short for awhile, as we are generally so tired after our marching, at night, that it is a terrible strain to do anything else other than sleep, so if you get a field service card now, & then don't put it down to laziness.  Sometimes it is such a strain to finish a march, that you cannot lift your eyes off
