Dear Nell,
It seems, that I am going to have a run of bad luck after all. I will probably get into hot water after Wed night as they are starting to have a roll call after lights-out. This means, that any person who is not in to answer to his name will be dealt with. The dealt with, will probably only be a fine, so I shan't worry. Another knock which I received to-day was, that on Sat next we will be sent down to the range for musketry, and that means about three or four days there thus euchreing our "eight hour day" picnic. Our company is at present a long way over strength and they are going to draft out one hundred and fifty men to go in about three weeks time. I do not think my run of bad luck will last till then any way I hope not. I asked my O.C.
