5. quite correct, they were all N.Z. I did not think the one you marked was much like me in anyway. For one thing I think I am taller by a good bit. The p-c's of the village Staples reached to safely you say. It is only a very small place but has a fine church. Nearly every little place has a big church, even if there are only five or six houses. I know the handky was not of much use, only ornamental, but you can get a doll for it, & a play house. Has the Anzac Book turned up yet? its time it did. I got a fine batch of parcels yesterday, including two from Scotland. We had a jolly fine tea, thanks to Aunt V. & Cousin Barbara. Your socks etc arrived safely, No 5, & I gave Jack, Jim Keen's pair & the handkerchief, & will pass another pair on to Jim, as soon as I see him. Jack has been promoted to full Corp now, & will probably be Sergeant before he goes into the line. He is very keen, & looking
