match, so they lost £8. We woke early this morning to see land which turned out to be the Arabian coast Of course it was a very welcome sight, and we have been gazing on it all day. Tonight we passed Perim Island, & could see a Turkish fort on the Arabian coast just before you reach Perim Island which was blown to pieces by our boats at the beginning of the war. We were close enough to see people moving about on it.
Land can be seen on both sides now & we all feel more at home Just at the present time, we are passing through Hell's Gates, although I suppose it will be better the next trip I do through them. I have just made a bargain with Fred Sims. He said he would give sixpence for a block of camphor & I told him I would have give him one if he would make a small bag
