some of our boys, & the 4th were sent up to releive them.  Only about eight, out of each Coy, were left behind, & some of the chaps now in the Grenadiers, were amongst them.  The Infantry had the distinction.  I am sorry to hear that Will, has left Attkins McQuitty,as position must be hard to get now, according to reports we get here.  What will Doris think of it all?
I am pleased to hear that you have made up your mind, as to your actions in connection with, Miss D.  You know very well, that I would not be able to dismiss the parade, in tones of authority, such as she used at Leura.  As you suggest,I'll take a back seat, & leave it to you.  Tell Arch to leave the Court, I'll finish it later on, after I have completed the little job over this way.  I knew you would pass some rude remark about that photo of mine, without the cap, but thought it best to send the bad, with the good.  Of course the other chaps, are the good.  Mother sent me one of mine, which I had taken just before I left, & I don't think much of it.  So you still have the old colours.  Stick to them, they are the best, & represent the best Batt which ever left Australia.  Arthur
