My Dear Nell,
I am writing this under great difficulties in a tent at Abbassia. We have been moved from Heliopolis and I think we will get another move within a few days, goodness knows where. Still keep to the one address as they all go to the base and they forward them on. We are fairly comfortable in the tent. We have bought mats made by the natives for three piastres each and laid these on the floor. They keep the sand down and keep the cold out, as it is fairly chilly in the evenings & early mornings. We also bought a lamp to hang up. Each of us throw in ten piastres each pay-day which falls every ten days. The boys all have great faith in the figure three. We were always striking it at Warwick, and now we are in No 3 Section No 3 platoon have thirteen in our tent and our tent is
